I played in this tournament twice last week. Everything listed is correct except that now, for an additional $5 add-on (for the dealers), you get an extra $5,000 in chips.

So for $105 you get $20,000 in starting chips, and 30 minute levels starting at the fourth level. I don't know what can beat that.

Didn't see much cash action those two days, and the tournaments had only one and two tables the days I played, respectively, but I'm told the weekends get a lot more runners.

20k stack it gets better and better :D

Just out of interest - can anybody tell me if this applies to the 7.5k evening game as well effectively giving you additional chips to the 7.5k stack...

Sorry, I was only there for the 2PM tournament. When they told me about it, they said they had just started that (the add-on) within the past week or two (this was mid-Oct).

I had a total blast yesterday playing nearly 10 hours at the 2PM tournament here yesterday. Didn't leave until around midnight when the last six of us went for a 6 way chop, nearly $1200 each. And I was by far the short stack when the final table was set, so it was especially nice for me.

The room is great and all the dealers are excellent. For the Saturday tournament, there were 110 entries, mostly locals and regulars I think. Nice bunch of people for the most part.

One of the really nice things about yesterday (other than cashing) was finding out that the very friendly British fellow at the final table was none other than AVP's own JayCBee here on his visit from the UK. We had been exchange posts in this very forum and didn't even know we "knew" each other until after the tournament was over! How neat is that?

Hi Rob thanks for the kind words really great to meet you. Just back home so really tired will post a trip report very soon.. Ill tell you what tho Binions structure was hard to match any where else in Las Vegas Strip or Downtown for 100 dollars. Really recommend the room to anyone who is thinking of playing there and that 2pm tournament is especially good on a Sat (and Sun).. fantastic time all round watch out for the trip report. :D

Looking forward to seeing your report, Jay. Did you read my blog post about the tournament we both cashed in?

Shame you couldn't post your trip report, I'd love to read it if you could email it to me.

Have you tried contacting Jon Friedberg, or Las Vegas Michael directly with your issue? Maybe someone "in authority" will read this and help you out.

Regarding downtown, I still prefer the Strip but do like that Binions tournament on the weekends. For poker tho during the week you're stuck with Golden Nugget since Binions cash games are pretty empty.
