Hey everyone I'm Chris from Chattanooga, TN. Visiting Vegas Dec. 12 for a few days. Gonna be my 5th trip out in the last 5 years and looking forward to playing some cards. I'll be popping my trip posting cherry when I get back. Came to Chatty about 5 months ago and can't find a game anywhere so I'm super eager to play. If there's anyone on here from Chattanooga or surrounding area that plays, please let me know!

Hey all. Just read some the FAQ of the site, and spent a good part of 8 hours browsing old threads. Going to be in Vegas pretty soon, looking to keep a little blog and drink some beers. Good Luck to all!

Hey guys I'm Brian. Originally from Baltimore, currently stationed out of Schofield Barracks, HI as part of the 3rd BCT (Brigade Combat Team) 25th ID. Currently we're in Afghanistan (another all expenses paid trip courtesy of uncle sam). My 4th vegas trip will be my Combat Tour R&R starting 01 January 2012 and running through 08 January when I'll be heading to L.A. till 15 January. I've been "lurking" on the forums for about a month now after having it recommended me by a friend and fellow player. Love the site, especially the reviews and the hand analysis, even better than twoplustwo.com.

Action out here is non-existent (disappointing since my last tour in Iraq we had a wonderfully soft 1-2 NL game that financed my vegas trip on that tour) so my only "action" if you could call it that is a weekly freeroll tournament run by the USO for 25$ amazon gift cards. Still won about 4 of them now lol (about 30 entrants usually and they run the whole spectrum of grinders like me to straight have no clues).

Between the stellar articles on AVP and my own boredom finally forcing me to catch up on reading I should have a long time ago (primarily Harrington's two books on cash game play) I"m very excited to tear back into the vegas scene again infused with a lot better understanding of deep cash game play.

I'll be hitting up the Aria, Venetian, and Bellagio primarily, 2-5 with some 1-3 mixed in (looking to try out the LAG style in the lower limits to see if I can start developing that side, figure it will enhance both my cash game and tournament play to develop a loose side) so if anyone is regularly playing those places and have any good tips for times to play as well as general table textures beyond what's in the reviews it would be much appreciated.

K, well I think I've spewed enough for one post. I'll be hitting up a trip report once my vegas run is over. Keep rocking the awesome articles!

Dear Soldier,
Thank you for joining AVP. We really appreciate it. More so though, thank you for doing what you do. Without you we wouldn't have a playground like Vegas to play poker in. I am glad you're enjoying the articles and the forums here. Best of luck on your trip to Vegas and I can't wait to read the trip report!

Hey Soldier! Thanks for your introduction, and thanks for joining AVP! I have to agree with you that we offer much better resources than 2p2. :)

Let us know when you're here in January. I'm sure that plenty of AVPers will be around, and I would personally like to buy you a drink and hear about your experiences serving in Afghanistan, etc. I admire and respect your courage, and can only imagine what that would be like.

I'm sure you'll tear Vegas up when you get here. Just keep in mind that a general rule is to play loose when others are playing tight, and tight when others are playing loose. All the casinos you mentioned have pretty similar games and players overall.

Thanks again for saying hello, and please feel free to drop by and post as often as you have time (between reading Benton's strategy articles perhaps), about poker or anything.

Hi guys!
I'm Michael from Austria and I decided to join and start following the forums too.
I'm on AVP for some months now, but more on a technical layer. I never really used to be active on the forums but I would like to be part of the community since there are lots of interesting threads and posts. That's why I wanted to introduce myself here today and say hello to you guys.

I'm responsible for our mobile apps and will answer any questions regarding our apps.

I made my loooong way to Vegas in September for two weeks and I really loved it. Big thanks to Jon for making that possible. Hopefully I will be there again next year.
