Visit to Binions was a pleasant surprise--there the week of July 4th. Good value daily 2pm tourney for $80, which is run well. They had a bit of a bubble of entries that week due to WSOP and The Grand Series @ Golden Nugget, which resulted in 55+ runners for a few days.
Floor staff is warm, welcoming, and helpful. Waitress is top notch with speedy and friendly service--try the double rum punch (aka Lull sp?). Yummers! Dealers are fair, some much weaker than others.
Live game (3/6 Limit) was incredibly nitty. Pretty much any bet/raise and most would fold. Scooped up about $40 in 30 minutes playing any two cards and betting with air. All regulars. Comps/promos offered were pretty good.
The design of the sunken poker room with the walls adorned with historic photos was a fun setting. Will be back!
