Don't waste your time

Went and played here on two occasions while waiting for a halftime on a football game to put a bet in. First time ordered some wings which were outstanding. Both times the game was short with a one or two local grinders and a few tourists. The last time I went it was explained that they had a $50 high hand bonus every hour. I think the qualifying hand is at least a flush. Amazingly, we were approaching the hour and there was no high hand to beat yet. A hand played out where I called a pre flop raise with deuces. The flop came AAK and the pre flop raisers checked it. He again checked the turn. River came up a 2 and now he bets $9. I suspected he may have flopped aces full and feared a reraise so I just called him. My twos full won the pot. Dealer called high hand and the manager came over. 'Oh no!' He says. There's only $35 in the pot. You have to have $40 in the pot to qualify for a high hand. WTF? I never heard of a pot having to be $40 for a bonus of any type. I've seen $10 and $20 , but $40? They had no problem raking $3 AND $2 for the promotion on that $35 pot. I learned a lesson there, stick to the reputable card rooms in Vegas and stay away from the hole-in-the-wall two table rooms.
