Cheap, friendly, and fun

I was in Las Vegas for a couple days for a conference for work and looking for somewhere to play poker without risking a ton of money. The Plaza was a great environment. Dirt cheap buy-ins (I played in $5 and $12 tournaments but could've even done a $3 if I had gotten there early enough). Despite that, the level of play was solid, not a pre flop all in fest like you might think for such low stakes. Very friendly people too, mostly locals I think. I played a good few hours of poker over 3 nights and managed one 4th place finish, between buy-ins and winnings I was down a whole $3 when all was said and done (if only I'd stayed away from the craps table, but that's a different story). What more could you ask for? Jacob was very helpful when technical issues arose from the tables, all but maybe one cocktail waitress was very attentive. My next trip to Vegas I'll definitely be back to the Plaza and highly recommend it to anyone wanting to play some poker without breaking the bank.
