Online poker while at WSOP ?

I'll be at WSOP in late May. I was wonder if any can share their experiences/thoughts about playing WSOP online satellites into WSOP events. Field size? Length of play? Quality of field? I'm just wondering if it's better to try a few of the online satellites or just stick with the satellites at the Rio. Any input appreciated.

  1. The online satellites will be a bit harder to win because of field size. Normally it will be a small tourney, like $22, and they give away $1000 or $1500 seats. So if you play one of those it equates to one seat for every 50 or so players. Live at the Rio, you can enter a $125 or so single table and one seat will be awarded from the 10 players at the table. So while it's easier to win a seat 1 out of 10, you pay more than you do online, so it's really just a matter of what fits your budget best.

  2. I tried one online satellite so far and didn't think the field was all that tough. One thing I'm not certain of is how the fields will change when the series is running here -- right now traffic is slow since it's limited to people in Nevada (or outside the US and there aren't many non-US players on the site). But, once the series gets going, I'd expect a significant bump in traffic on the WSOP site.

  3. Also, right now the only satellites that they are running are:
$10 rebuy tournaments for an entry into any $1,000 WSOP event
$10 rebuy tournaments for an entry into the $1,000 WSOP Online bracelet event
and $200 rebuy tournaments for an entry into the Main Event
