  1. Most of the rooms that run a $1/2 game will have a lot of recreational players. So, rooms like Harrah's, Flamingo, Bally's, or Mirage would be decent choices. There won't be many sharks, but depending upon the promotions, they might get a lot of people that are chasing freerolls and therefore not playing a lot of hands or putting a lot of money in the pot.

  3. @Paul1959 on the west side of vegas is the Orleans casino which is the busiest poker room I have ever seen any where from 10 to 30 games going on all the time 10 being like 4 or 5 am where it's hard to find a game anywhere at that time most places start slowing down around 1 am

  8. in low-limit, no limit games (1/2 or 1/3) you aren't going to find many sharks. you can count on one hand the number of good players in all of these games. the bigger problem will be a game filled with a bunch of local nits. while easily beatable, but not for much $, these players will absolutely ruin your game. they have no personality and are the biggest whiners and rudest players to the tourists.

the nicest room in vegas , is the "wynn" poker room located in the Encore. the lowest stakes there is 1/3 NL with a $500 cap. this is a good game for tourists looking for some good action. this game will play deep so it scares away the local nits and there are no promotions like free-rolls which attract the nits who just sit and wait for AA or KK and collect their hours for the promo.

if you play at one of the properties with promos, try to avoid the games will the greatest
population of these nits, simply change tables. these players are easy to identify, if you play at flamingo, harrahs , ballys or caesars: they all have "diamond" players cards and will only
buy-in for the minimum ($100) and will ask for a seat change button. most of them dress in the same attire day after day and look somewhat homeless, are older and downright grumpy.

enjoy your trip and don't feed the nits.
