  1. Both are fine rooms. I'd check out both, look at the tourney schedules then hit the felt! Personally I enjoy the TI 10 PM.

  2. Either would be a good choice for a first timer, TI's tourneys tend to be 1/2 as big as the Mirage's,and twice as friendly. Not saying the Mirage is unfriendly, just that Ti is friendlier, especially for first timers.

  3. I would recommend playing at Aria... awesome blind structure.. room... prize pool etc...

  4. @misterjproduction - all of that is true, but I'm not sure that I'd call Aria "friendly to a new player". There tends to be a lot more experience in that room than in most lower level buyin tournaments around Vegas. For someone just getting their feet wet in a casino tournament environment, either Mirage or TI is probably a better choice.

@MStorms -- even though the rake is really high, you might think about heading over to Linq for one of their low stakes tourneys. They usually have really inexperienced players and the room goes for a fun vibe. It's not a place to go and try to make a living, but probably a fun little place to try out.

  5. For my money, the best run tourney room for new players is Binions. great staff and dealers.
