Been to Vegas 35 times. This time for a week. Poker started with me at Excalibur morning tourney second day there. I would say 50% of the players there can be knocked off their hands unless there holding face cards. I chopped for $287. $40 entry.... My advice don't worry about chipping up early. Wait till about 4th level. A good player should easily make it to final table.

Mgm Grand morning guaranteed $2000,$70 buy in. It was tough go for first few levels. Just surviving. Then with an unsuited 8-9 and the flop 893 with flush draw, I risked it all and hit the boat in the river, doubling up.. My luck changed. I coasted to final table middle stacked, but hit some good hands and less luck and finished 4th for a $278 pay out. Time on there was 3.5 hrs.. Not bad at all... I suggest mgm grand for the guaranteed payout over the Excalibur, but if your good hit both..
