Stayed at Mandalay Bay for 5 days. I like to play 2-4 limit holdem. I wasn't expecting to play alot there because the review on this website listed them as having just a 4-8 game. I found them to actually have a 2-4 limit game most of the time, whereas there wasn't always a 4-8 game. (Note to editor: you may want to update this.) The poker room has 10 tables located next to the sports book. Early in the day there was not always a limit game available but they always seemed to have at least one 2-4 NL game. They have a 30 person tournament from 10am-12pm and other games started to open up by about 11am. There was usually at least one 2-4 No limit game going and one 2-4 Limit game midweek. There was occasionally a 4-8 limit game as well. There was sometimes a wait on weekend evenings but otherwise usually able to sit down immediately. The 2-4 limit game was a little different than most in that they only had a single $2 big blind and no little blind. They also allow 4 raises rather than 3. Some of the tables seat 9 players and others seat 10. They pay out bonuses if you hit quads or a straight flush whether you win or loose the hand. I guy at my table won $650 for a Royal flush, another won $250 for quads. I got excited for a while when I hit quad 10's but only won an extra $20 bonus because someone else had already gotten that hand earlier in the day. They offer a $5 meal voucher if you play 4 hours but you have to know to sign up when you sit down and only give you 1 per 24 hr period. Overall, enjoyed it alot. Convenient if you are at the hotel already.

Also played at MGM. I've played there in the past and it is still my favorite. As the other reviews on this site will attest, it is a large room. ALmost always a game available. Lots of loose fishy players at the 2-4 tables.

Played briefly at the Luxor on a Sunday afternoon. There were a lot more locals than compared to the other rooms I played at such as Mandaly Bay and MGM. They seemed to try to get them to play there by having a contest and giving them coupons for every big hand they won. The person with the most wins got a bonus.

Played at Binions. I always enjoy going there. It seems to be a better quality low limit game. They didn't have auto-shufflers the last time I was there but they have them now at many but not all of their tables. All you have to do is ask and they'll give you an $8 meal voucher if you play there a few hours. Very friendly staff and dealers as usual.

I also stopped over at the Plaza while I was downtown because this site lists them as one of the few having a 2-4 limit Omaha game but when I got there I found this was not really accurate. They do have a limit omaha tournament 1 day a week instead of their usual hold-em tourny but otherwise the manger told me they don't usually spread any Omaha ring games.
