It was my first trip to Vegas and to a poker room! I have played on line a bit and home games but really wanted to play for real on the tables! I concentrated on the Tournaments as these were clearly the best amount of poker action verses value for money i was to get.

The very first table i sat at i was quite nervous, but playing quality cards, i soon won a few pots and my confidance rose! I lasted for a couple of hours on my first attempt but made a couple of poor moves by not betting correctly and not jamming the the pot enough.

My second attempt was about the same, i got short staked and try and failed to double through. Good fun though, as i seemed to last a fair amount of time without any real cards.

My third and final attempt was the best! The buy-in was $100, which was double the other 2 table buy-ins. They were $50. Which resulted in the prize money being almost double compared to the other tables. I wanted to at least get my money back and get to the final table and in the last 8, as that was were the money is! Anyway after playing for nearly 3 hours i got to the final table. I kept outta trouble and was soon in the money zone. When it was down to just 3 of us, the Manager sat down at our table with all the chips and i thought i could actually win here unless i do something stupid! I eventually was heads up with another guy and was dealt Ace/Eight hit another Ace on the turn, went all in, was called, and won!

I won approx $2500, so i was well pleased,as it was third only attempt! I tipped the dealer and cashed in. I decided not to play anymore as i wanted to leave Vegas a winner, and we were moving on the next day.

So, if your reading this forum and never played before in a real game (As i did 2 months ago!) The Aladdin is a great place to start. Even if i had not won, i would have posted a review as i found it was freindly and not intimidating to a beginner! And all poker players LOVE beginners. Right?!!!!
