Brad Pitt,Matt Dameon would have been proud!!!!
a little after noon and the promotion is over,1st hand actually after promo is over,i say to the dealer "now you will deal me rockets because the prmo is over right?". so in BB i am dealt pocket 4's.k we will limp in and see. flop 4,4,bland. WOW QUADS!!!!!! Of course i slow play then and the person i am against is on a spade flush draw.kool i guess? so i continue to slow play and "hollywood" the situation until the river. the ace of spades comes on the board. "oh no no no" i say and i continue to slow play,hollywood and i cry and wine after my opponent pushes with a large bet. so after more of the above, the dealer tells me "you have to make a decision" and i look to the sky and say "i'll call" and the player i am against does throw over a K and another spade card for the flush!!!! "OUCH so i guess these do not play?" and i toss my pocket 4's out. oh so so so so sorry,lol,and i collect the pot,tip dealer 10% and i leave the table. someone at the table was smart enough to say "hey you had quads the whole way". "really i did not realize that".lol
yes i have learned to slow play,cry and wine,bluff
and a few other ideas in my 8 years of playing and
i know opportunities like this are so so so rare you need to make the most of them.

Slow playing is one thing. Slow rolling and being obnoxious is another. That's not "making the most" of it," it's making an ass of yourself.
Sorry, just rubs me totally the wrong way.
@Mrs. Lederer
I agree.its a good move to rack up and leave after u do this,of course this just makes u look like an even bigger ass
Hard to believe I can dislike someone this much from just one post.
Slowplay; all good and fine, sometimes the best way to play a hand.
Hollywood; if you can pull it off effectively great.
Slow rolling; something that should be avoided at all times, however if done to the right people may result in side effects including but not limited to: death threats, flat tires, bloody noses, bruised ego, and black eyes.
Wine; alcoholic beverage generally consumed with a decent meal and should not be confused by the homophone "whine" if you have any reading comprehension/spelling ability whatsoever.
@Santa Fe Rail
this is the worst...if i was the other player you would be wearing my drink.
I'm definitely a big a-hole, but even this post is beyond me. Slow rolling quads is unreal. You say you've been playing poker for 8 years? I guess showing quads with pride became lost on you at some point during that period. Everytime I've witnessed quads, most people are wearing smiles at the table(except for the loser in the hand), but in your case I am sure this was not the collective reaction.
I guess in your 8 years of playing, you didn't learn how to raise properly...way to call the bet on the river instead of pumping it, I'm glad you didn't make as much money as you could have.
@Mrs. Lederer
+1 .... you are nothing more than an utter jerk. You're exceptionally lucky that you didn't get beaten up or berated.
@duckslaw
+1 again. Why just call with the nuts? Get the rest of his stack.
Also, it's "Damon", not "Daemon".
And I'll eat my hat if you actually tipped 10%. I wouldn't be surprised if you actually stiffed the dealer.
This post is a joke, right?
SFR,
I expect better from you. That's all I am going to say.
So, we are lead to believe, that with the stone cold nuts, you CALLED the river, instead of raising? And you are proud of this? A better stategy is to flush your wallet down the john; both are wasting money.
and the slow roll is bush league.
@bigchip
He did say that his opponent pushed, so since the opponent had already gone all-in, he couldn't raise.
Still, that makes the slowroll even worse.
I'm pretty sure Brad and Matt would have kicked the chit out of you for being a slow rolling jerk. Table the winning hand, thank the poker gods for the dumb luck you were blessed with and move on.
Nothing more to add here. The slow-roll demonstrates that you're probably a douche. The fact that you posted about it here demonstrates that your not too perceptive, at best, and, more likely, an idiot.
Nice job.
WOW! Consider yourself fortunate that you are out in Veags, where things got a lot more civilized years ago.
In Atlantic City, after your performance the dealer may have walked over to the floor, the floor may have called security, the cameras in the parking deck may have gone out (for routine maintenance, of course), and they may have given the injured party (with the spade flush) a little while to discuss your etiquette with you detail. Keep in mind that these goombas out of Philly and NY talk with their hands (its a cultural thing, you wouldn't understand), until you hit the pavement where they then begin talking with their feet.
Think I'm joking? Two guys in poker rooms have been killed in AC for less this year alone.
Sport, if I were you I would be real careful for a while. That little thing called karma may just want to work this whole thing out for you in it's own way.
@O_B_Careful
i want to hear more about the two guys that were killed..........i heard about the old guy that was stabbed by another old guy in AC over a seat....

all that should be said has been said regarding your boorish behavior, but I am still curious: what does Brad Pitt have to do with poker? Matt Damon I understand, but Brad Pitt had one movie (Oceans 11) where he teaches poker...I don't remember him slowrolling anyone.
Insert "train wreck" joke here.
While at the table you should so some class. No need for how you acted SFR to be frank.... I agree with previous poster. I would have expected more out of you....
If I could copy everyone else's comments I would. I understand the hollywooding, but just flip your cards over take the pot and sit for a few more hands. I hate when people hit and run, it means they are not confident with their play and are afraid of losing that money they just won.
If you were playing at Bally's, the only thing I'm glad about is that you forgot to collect your $100 high hand jackpot in your haste to depart. If you wouldn't have been suck a dick, probably someone would have reminded you.
This is, undoubtedly, the best trip report ever written. Any chance we can get more from the OP?
Why on earth would you post this on a site full of people who hate the exact kind of player you are reporting as being?!? Totally classless and a shame to the poker community.
I HATE being at a table when something like this happens. When someone is just flat out rude to the other person. I am always afraid they will come to blows. Why risk it? Because you want to feel "hollywood?" You risk getting SEVERAL people at the table mad enough to pop you in the mouth.
Just my 2 cents.
lol 8 years and u havent learned basic "Etiquette (pronounced [,eti'ket]) is a code of behavior that delineates expectations for social behavior according to contemporary conventional norms" therefore your a deuch and with how full of yourself you sound winning a hand is probly a very rare occurence for you, real poker players dont get off on adding insult to injury, that and we dont want somone following us out and taking back the pot by means other than cards
. im sure this reply is uneccisary seeing as everyone else has said about the same but i felt i had to comment since the A-LIGHT was flashing in my head big time haha grow up man enjoy the win dont rub it in the face of the guy who just payed you. congradulations i would like to beat you with a rubber hose
There's high-class, low-class and NO-CLASS...YOU GUESS
