A diamond in the rough would be a good description of this poker section of the Cannery located in North Las Vegas. I say section because there is no poker room. They have 10 tables located smack in the middle of the casino surrounded by the Steinbeck theme of Cannery Row. The games offered are mostly 2/4 and 4/8 with NL on weekends. 10,000 freeroll each month plus many other incentives. The atmosphere is very laid back and the pit managers really take the time to get to know everybody and are a great bunch of fellows not only in the poker pit but in the main pits as well. The dealers are very good and are also very friendly. The competition is good but the cocktail service is poor. The only thing bad about the place is they offer no Omaha. I travel across town to play there. This is a poker room (section) unlike any other offered in Las Vegas and well worth the trip. The food and comps are good too.
