Arrived on Sun July 1st and checked in at the IP for $59 a night. Room was ok - location centre strip ideal. Went to Celine Dion at Caesars with my wife - actually not a bad show. Crashed after the show since given the time change we had been up for about 22 hours or so.

Monday morning played in the Planet Hollywood 10 am $60 tourny - made it to about top 25% - no exciting hands - ended up pushing with 88 with 9 bb called by ajo - typical late tourny coin flip. Headed up to World Series to watch a little action. Spent some time watching Mike Matusow's table - definitely an entertaining guy. Headed to the Wynn in the evening to watch Spamalot - very good show highly recommended. Back to Planet Hollywood for a little 2/4 limit - lost about $30 over 5 hours. Really like Planet Hollywood poker room and casino - like the decor, nice vibe.

Tuesday played another Planet Hollywood tourny and busted out about half way through. Went down to MGM to play 1/2 NL - played for about 6 hours and left down about $60 which was not too bad given the hands I was getting. In the evening back to Planet Hollywood to watch Stomp (won tickets) - fun show.

Wednesday - Spent most of the day walking the strip. Had dinner at Delmonicos - favourite restaurant on the strip. Went to Venetian hoping to sign up for evening tournament but they were running their CEO tournaments. Played 1/2 NL for about 5 hours and left up about $75 primarily due to getting a set to crack a high pocket pair. Overall quality of play was higher - 2-3 players had played prelim events and another 2 players were there to play the main event (after winning seats online).

Overall had a good time. Probably played about 20 hours of poker and got AA once, KK once, JJ once, 1010 once, AK - 3 times so felt I was a little card dead. I know it's just variance but when you only get to play live 2-3 times a year it kind of sucks.
