Arrived in Vegas June 10th 2005 at around 6pm. Entered in a Gold Coast Tourney the next morning for a $22.00 buy in. It had approximately 30+ players and I played well, down to the final table where it paid out top 4. There were 8 of us left and I was about 4th in chips when I encountered a pair of ladies peaking up at me. The blinds were at 500-1000 and I had about 6400 in chips. Everyone folded around to me and I went all in. The position to my left folded. The lady on the button called and the small and big blind folded. We turn up our cards and I show Qc Qs. She Turns up Qd 4d. My first thought is why would she call my all in with that, but in the same thought I am thrilled. I am an 88% favorite in this hand. After the flop I am not so thrilled, It comes 10d Ac 3d. I am still a 62% favorite but I am worried. The Turn come 8c. Now I am an 80% favorite. The river comes a 2d obviously and she wins the hand. I had her covered by 1200 in chips so I am still alive and I get to see a few more hands before I get blinded out. I got to stay in just long enough to let my anger come to a head and I had to ask, "How in the hell do you call an all in with Q4 suited?" to which she had no response, then the guy to her left responded with, "That's why women shouldn't be allowed to play poker." to which the table (All Men except her) laughed and she responded, "I have never stole a pot in my life!" and I responded, "Until 3 hands ago." The next night I went to Sams Town and played in a $48.00 buy in Tourney when I received Pocket Kings and got knocked out in 14th by a Lady who had Big Slick Suited with you guessed it, Diamonds, and she caught her flush on the river too, but atleast it was a respectable call. I left the tournament play alone until the night before I left, I entered the Sams Town Tourney again, $48.00 buy in and outlasted a field of 30+ with 57 rebuys. (None of which were mine.) Down to 4 players where blinds were minutes away from going up to 10k-20k and we were all pretty evenly stacked but I was chip lead at 76k, a motion was made to chop 4 ways, I let the other 3 decide and I told them I would go along and so we all cashed at $405.00 for the night. The girls can have the diamonds, I just want green.
