This was my first poker trip to Vegas and I was not sure just how good the players would be compared to Tunica where I usually play. I found the competition to be about the same.

3 sessions of 4/8 and one no limit at MGM. My roll for the trip was $700 and I was way underfunded for the no limit. Great room with good players. Got pockets kings cracked three times in five hands at 4/8 and went from up 100 to down 60 at the MGM. One session at Wynn, just a fantastic room with players probably better than me but Hit two flush draws and ended up +120. One session at Bellagio, very crowded but managed to leave up 55 playing a table with mixed skill levels. Played one no limit and one 2/4 session at Luxor. Down 8 over all. Never go back, low end room with slow players. Played a morning session at Mandalay Bay. The blinds were 1 and 2 with the bets 4/8 with a half kill. Fun game, wound up ahead 45. Finished back at MGM again with a 3/6 game loose game with no apparant locals, won 55.

I thought I spotted several pros or semi pros at MGM and Wynn. I am sure they were also there at Bellagio, just not at my table.

Played in two tournaments a one table satellite at Wynn for $80 and a noon tournament at Luxor for $30. Eliminated early in both. Wynn tournament was first class, Luxor was the worst I have ever played in.

Had a good time and ended up about $50 up overall. With the exception of Luxor I liked all the rooms and will play them again. My favorite was the morning session at Mandalay Bay.
