High roller treatment led to big stack result
Went to Vegas with a Buddy in early March. Started out at Caesars which was great. Beautiful room, good dealers, good service and friendly competent management. Played 3/6 but got very little in cards and lost a little. On to MGM which we had visited last year. Played 3/6 kill all night and definitely had fun. The caliber of player at MGM seemed much tougher to me but I do like the room. Excellent service, dealers, and management. Lost some more. Buddy won at both rooms.
Next day started at Bally's for their 11:00am tournament. It was probably full (50 players)by 10:15. I called an all in bet at 11:20 with my top pair KK and got rivered by middle pair 88 which became trips on the river. Buddy got to final table but didn't get paid. Then on to MGM for more 3/6 kill.
Finally got to Wynn the next night after spending the day in Caesars sportsbook. There was a wait for 4/8 and every other game. Went to sign up for a players card and the shift manager welcomed us. She offered dinner but since we had already ate she suggested she would buy us meals the next day. She put 2 buffets on one card and $60 for the deli on the other. The room is the nicest I've seen in town but the tables are a little cramped. Since I only get up every 4 or 5 hours its not a big deal but a little more room would be nice. Much softer game than MGM but comparable to Caesars. Great dealers and management. Waitresses disappeared at times. Played till 1 or 2 and came back at noon the next day for Brunch. After eating I bought in for 100 at the 4/8 table and cashed out 6 hours later for 575. I was basically the big stack all day. Then on to the deli for a late dinner. I was treated great and got great cards. I am definitely going back to the Wynn next trip.
