I found very friendly people here. Some novice players, and some very skillful. The one great thing about this place is that it's fun to play 2-4 Limit Hold'em here. The dealers are very helpful. The atmosphere is relaxed. Players are not up-tight, or radical. There's such a good mix here that you can't go wrong. Just about anybody can fit in.

It seems like more serious players go elsewhere. For example, Harrah's [almost next door] and, on the other side of Imperial Palace, the Flamingo. It was my experience that the players are more up-tight at Harrah's and the Flamingo. More serious minded; less chatty.

The Imperial Palace does not put on airs. The poker room is just an 'out-of-the-way' quiet spot on the second floor above the main casino, near the showroom, and sports book. It's like playing in your own den, recreation room, or basement. You will meet plenty of average, friendly people from all walks of life who play to have fun. Don't get me wrong, it's still real poker, but the attitude is grab a rack of chips, sit down, and have some fun.

If you are new to live play, go to Imperial Palace and play for a few hours. You will be glad you made the trip.
