Just a Sampling
Went to LV from Nov 13 - 15 but didn't want to overdo it.
Stayed at TI and played about 2 hours a day there plus one tourney. Played mostly $2-$4. Stay patient and play with good cards and you can have a good time. I did not go to make a killing, but to have fun.
I was busted out of their tourney on the bubble when I went AI with K's and was called by
J - 6 suited and got caught by runners...Oh Well!
The other places I played limit, Binion's, Harrah's, MGM, Orleans, and Wynn, played just enough to get a feeling for the rooms and was never up or down more than $50.
Also played a Sit N Go at Monte Carlo, and ran into another bubble buster going AI with A9 suited and called by 3 - 5. Caller who had only 100 more in chips than me flopped the 3.
The best room for fun players was by far the Orleans. Mostly locals who were there for a good time, and the laughter was contagious. Enjoyed.
Even giving them a donation!!
Best room for atmosphere and management, to me, hands down was the Monte Carlo.
Room is absolutely beautiful and the dealers and management were fabulous, and the S&G I played in was run very efficiently with all rules spelled out prior to any cards being dealt.
Would be the first room I return to on my next trip!
Was pleased with all dealers, and had only one minor mistake by a rookie dealer which was corrected very quickly.
Hats off to dealers Isaac and Carlyn(?) at TI
and Dave at MC.
