Showed up at 9:00 am and hit the cash tables. Mostly tight players, I was able raise people out of pots. Not too frequent in the low limit games I've played. I made $50 for the tourney buy-in.
I was actually on the alternate list so I didn't start at the beginning.

By the time they called me in the blindes were at 50-100. The problem is the starting stack is $300. I couldn't belive it when they handed me my starting stack, 5 chips!

It starts as limit and moves to no limit after a the break. I was dealt 7's and called with 2 more callers. The highest card on the flop was a 6. I reraised and put the other 2 players all in. They both had sixes and I didn't get out drawn. I tripled up and felt pretty good going into the no limit structure.

With a few tables left, I hit my straight on the turn and went all in, the river brought the dude the flush and I was gone. The dealer almost gave me the pot until it was pointed out to him.

Later I sat beetween my two step brothers and we played 2-4 from 4:00 to midnight. Ended up ahead just a few bucks, but we had a blast.
