I recently moved to Vegas (two weeks ago to be exact) and I've been mixing up my poker play a bit. Yesterday was DAY 1 of March Madness and my boyfriend and I decided to try our luck over at the Caesar's Noon Tournament. I believe they capped it at 130 players. Let me just say how BEAUTIFUL that room is. I was really amazed. I love the structure of the Caesar's tournament because the blind levels go up every 40 minutes and if you do the re-buy you are given 4500 chips - very liberal! Unfortunately, my pocket aces were cracked before the first break and I was heading home. I was shocked to be leaving so soon but that's okay I will definitely give the Caesar's tournament another try soon. My boyfriend busted out over at another table right before me when his trip tens lost to a better kicker.

So, feeling a little shell shocked we decided to re-group and take the advice of EVERYONE on this sight and headed to Excalibur to do a little fishing. We weren't disappointed!!

I sat down at the 2-4 limit table and my boyfriend tried his luck at the 1-3 No limit table. He ended up walking away $300 ahead and I left $6.75 ahead. But let me just say that we played for 4 hours straight and had a BLAST. My table was so fun and the dealers were great!

They have a bad beat/good beat wheel up in the front of the poker room and if your pocket aces get cracked you get to spin the wheel. When my aces got cracked for the second time yesterday I spun the wheel and won $20 - so that was kinda cool. My boyfriend hit quads and he got to spin the wheel and he won another $20 and when a guy at my table hit a straight flush he spun the wheel and got and extra $35. I will DEFINITELY be heading back to the Excalibur again - probably tomorrow and I think I might even step it up and play over at the No limit table.

Now that I am living here in Vegas I'll be checking out a variety of poker rooms and tournaments and I'll be sure to keep you up to date with frequent trip reports.
