Reviewing the MGM poker room. I found this to be an excellent place to play. I played two tournaments there and made the final table both time. The competition level was adequate, you had your share of call station and very readable players. The thing I found amusing was the talking of chopping the pot and the discussions that surround it. I didn't realize that once you agree to split the money the tournament stops and play ends. This bit of information cost me some big $$$.

8/9 people agreed on a chopped but the 10th didn't so we kept playing, but it wasn't until the director stated that the tournament is done once an agreement is reachedthat I understood why this other player wanted to continue.

You definitely want to get to this tournament somewhat early. It fills up fast and waiting as a standby isn't any fun.

I did like the fact that they award the winner with a commemorative coin encased.

The tournament is ran with efficiency and competence. The dealers were also good. Don't look for a drink anythine soon, the waitress staff was a bit slow.

All in all if you get a chance to play here I think you wil really enjoy it.
