Micro Tournament Blitz @ O'Sheas
While in Vegas this past week, I wanted to play as much poker as I could without busting the budget. Well look no further that O'Sheas. With 6 tournaments a day @ $45 a pop, you could play all day and still have enough to eat at the Bellagio buffet (especially if you can cash).
The overall play was a mixed bag with typical newbie acting out of turn to uber agro donk raising 40+% of the hands dealt. ABC poker was a very effective strategy with a dollop of re-raise stealing. Making it to the final table and possible cashing is not difficult for the patient.
Dealers were competent, personable, and pleasant. Structure was reasonable for the stake level. They have to turn and burn these things so they can get ready for the next one. Floor management was efficient.
Cocktail service was spotty but good enough to keep me from dehydrating. Can't really complain, just sip slowly.
In closing, In 6 tournaments over 3 days (of which I cashed in 2 and bubbled in 2), I had a wonderful experience and highly recommend O'Sheas micro tournaments to anyone wanting to play a lot of poker for minimal outlay of cash.

Sounds like a good trip! Can you post some tourney info. times, buy-ins etc.? The room review mentions they have poker tourney's but no info. is included.
Thanks

o'sheas has six tournaments daily, all the same, $45.00 buy in, 2,000, chips, 20 min blinds, times are 9am, 1pm, 5pm, 9pm, 12am, 3am
Thx I am planning on being in town 9/16-9/20 and might see if I can handle it. If the House fee is not too much. I see some where it is 30% - ridiculous.

Anyone know how much of the buy-in @ O'seas goes to the house? I have seen some lower $ tourney's buy-in ones where it was > 20% - I think anything more than 15% and you probably are goignt o have a otugh time long-term breaking even.

3am tournament? Wow...any info on what the average number of players is for that one?
That's just about the time I'm drunk as hell, and if there's a cheap tourney to play around that time, then I am absolutely in. Wonder if I can cash when my pocket rockets look like quad aces all by themselves.
Did the 9 pm there back in March . 45 players ending up chopped 5 ways. Then up to the front for some very entertaining "Strip" poker. this place is a riot.
