Binion's: 1-2nl with no cap - This game is fairly tight pre-flop w/ only 1 or 2 callers to a raise of $20. However there are a lot of older local players that buy in for $500-$1000 and always assume the young guy(me) is tring to make a play. TIP: wait for a big hand and raise $20 before the flop if you miss get out if you hit bet$50 all the way and watch your stack grow. Also aggresive play on the turn can win you a pot without a showdown but chose your spots wisely.

Luxor: 1-1-2nl $50 min/max - This game is one of the loosest I've ever seen. There are usually 1-3 locals tring to take advantage of this and the great comps, but they are easy to spot so just stay out of there way. The rest of the table consistes of new players and rich guys who will $50 after $50 TIP: Once you have diped below $50 you can buy another $50 so limp into the first pot regaurdless of your cards and buy more chips. At $98 you should be atleast 3-4th in chips. Play this game like a short stack tunrny look to put it all in early and often with high percentage hands. If the percentages hold up you can easily make $50-$150 an hour just by calling all-ins with the better hand.

Planet Hollywood: $60 nl turny - Well structured and affordable buy in. TIP: Wait for big hands and play them aggresive if you don't take a bad beat you can simply outlast and make the money.

Red Rock: $10-$20 limit - This game is filled with locals tring to make top pair good kicker or waiting for over pairs. For me this makes the game easy to read and easy to beat. TIP: dont be affraid to get in to pots with big suited cards, suited connectors, and any pair. Play pot odds and look to make straits, sets, and flushes. If you flop your sets or make your draws you can make $500-$1000 in a few hours.

Reviera: $50 nl turny - only 20 players and they are almost always hotel guests looking to play that game they seen on T.V. TIP: Just play solid turny poker and offer a chop when you get to final 3-4 to make an easy $200-$250.

Sahara: $62 nl turny - This is actually a tough turny as lots of locals play here. One night I sat one table over from sheeky and then moved to a table with Omar Gooding (baby boy). TIP: this is gonna be a tough turny to win but where else can you turn a $62 buy in into $1800-$2400.

  1. So what you are saying is, wake up to a big hand, double up, rinse, wash, repeat?

  2. Those are very helpful tips... I have to add that the Tuscany tournament seems like easy money to me. The people playing called it the "after work special", and they go crazy with the rebuys. Wait for premium hands after starting for 2000 chips for 32 bucks and there ya go! It goes quick with the levels and the final table comes in no time. The director only lets you chop at 10 or 5 people. With all the rebuys we had 2500 in the prize pool when I played on 7/9/07.

  3. @jaydubbayu

That's a lot of rebuys. How many players were in the tournament?

  4. 5 tables of 10 filled so 50. They take a $5 rake out of the initial buy-in of 22. So, 17 x 50 was 850. 2500-850 = 1650 which would be 165 rebuys... most bought in double rebuy for 20 to get them back up to 2000 in chips.
