I have played home games for years and online for several years. About 2 years ago I started to play poker on trips to vegas. My first casino experience was at the Excalibur. I loved the room where it was plenty of room though the railbirds smoke drifted in if you were close tot he rail. I play only 1/2 NL or 2/5 NL I bought in for $200 played about 4 hours and left up over $1200. the table I was sat at had a lot of big stacks I will assume it was the main game. I doubled up on several hands at various points but the big one came when I was dealt pocket aces in BB no better place to have them. first player to act raises pot to $15 a call a reraise and so on there were 6 players in the pot when it got to me on the button (one all in with $13) I raised the pot to $65 and lost two players but 4 besides me were still in. Flop comes A K 2 rainbow giving me a set 1st player to act pushes all in one small stack of about 40 bucks called and all others fold to me and I call. Well the all in guy hit runner runner for the str8 giving him about $80 of the pot (Aces Cracked) I raked in close to $1200 total including what I had in the pot. Since my aces were craked I got to spin the wheel and hit another $100. I have played excalibur on several trips and had a lot of fun there. mostly tourist dads willing to donate. I have had only ONE losing session at excalibur and it was one of those days you cant win no matter what. Floped a set of aces against quad queens hit a A high flush only to be beat with a str8 flush lost about 600 bucks before leaving....hope it stays at one

Never played here but walked by the room. I just have never had a warm fuzzy about playing here. Room just dosent seem that inviting. maybe it is the wall to celing glass and doors to get in I dont know but I will never play here until I get the warm fuzzy and I dont see that happening

I have had a lot of luck in ballys. best hand I had there I had AA vs JJ. I had been playing about 8 hrs and built my stack to about $900 very aggressive asian had the JJ with about 600. He got about 60% of his stack in before the flop. flop comes J A 6 he pushes all in and I call before he could get his chips. no j's come and I pull in a huge pot. He buys in for 200 immediately from his pocket with chips. I look down after a $50 raise from him to see JJ I call flop comes J small small he pushes all in I call he had KK my set holds and he leaves calling me every name you can think of to call a white male. I did have it rough here once losing $400 in about 2 hours had AK and flop came A K 7 guy hit a set of 7's then just got grinded out for my rebuy for a total loss here of $400

Tried to find the imperial palace once but was to stupid to find it someone said upstairs but nver found it My understanding is it is downstairs may try to find it now

Never palyed cash game here only the $65 tourney they have in the mornings. I finished 2nd once and 8th once in about 10 tries during my trips. I never relly feel comfortable here. I dont like the marble edges on the table. I feel clumsy with my chips and hate the noise it makes.

I played the Sahara tourney and just didnt like it I need room and it was way to cramped tournament run well and finished in the money but only played it once

Monte Carlo
I love Monte Carlo. The best time I ever had Jenifer Harmon came in and played 1/2 I know this sounds funny she would do this but she said she had just lost about 3 million in two days and wanted to play poker for fun. If the website allows you to post pictures I will post mine (for the record I took her buy in once from her on a set vs 2 pair) (for the record she got it back on a two pair vs my AK with and A on the flop )(for the record she got another $200 from me when I floped a K high flush and she floped an A high flush)

Never played but will when I go in a few weeks after reading here. Didnt know they had 1/2 1/3 limit figured it was higher

took a few big pots here when the room was in the middle. enjoyed playing here

it has been a few months since I have been here and cant wait to get back going in a couple weeks
