ok my first trip to vegas,

i,ll try and keep to the point when i ramble on about this trip.
iwas born on 14 th june 1967 and this trip was for my 40th b,day.
organised by my wife and joined by friends this was all about having a good time.

my first tourny was at the mgm at 11.00 am. 65 $ buy in.
97 players registered and i came home in 15th spot, not in the money but not too bad for my 1st vegas tourny.ive never played in a game with antes that can cripple your stack,wasnt doing too bad , but i was getting short stacked and needed to make a move,just when i hit the worst run of cards ever.
im in the big blind ,12k inc ante and only 8k left, i may have the no's slightly wrong but the odds are the same,i think i have to defend if i can then i get utg all in followed by two others ,im in 4 12k theres 40k in the pot ,(tell me im wrong, i have k 2 off, im priced in . its the only high card ive seen in 3 decades),im all in this hand with a k2 off and a walk into the money if i hit ,or next time im all in with possibly sweet fa .
i lost ,flush draw hit the board an i was walking.
mgm is a nice poker room in a big casino, very open aspect. good easy going dealers,
i would like to play here again.

my next foray was at ceasers,
as the one i'd planned to play in at the venetian was canceled for their deep stack tourny.
i loved playing here , what a realy nice room .
very professional dealers didnt let anything slip , i forgot to voice a raise and was called for it . it happens !!!!
this was to be a big deal to me , $200 buy in and 140 + registered , i wanted to do well.
there seem to be some hands that can kill you
and i seem to find them all , again im getting short and need to move .not hitting any cards , its all going a bit pete tong!!! , when it started really well,
murphy will get a good a## kicking one day . i made a raise on the button with ace 2, if this held up id double through and could wait for a stronger holding to try again .called by another short stack flop came down rags , i raised all in , called by qq that held up and im walking again, hey ho ....
this trip continues with a couple of games at Ti where we were staying .
