Outstanding Vegas Trip Part 2 4/26-4/27
played 6 hrs @ TI. did meet all the above players i mentioned and we played @ the same table. i lost $147 in 6 hours, again acceptable to me. again i play very very tight in vegas, right yappy?lol very few high pocket pairs and suited connectors turned post flop playable but that happens. won 1 hand with 4th pair after checking all the way through. a win is a win no matter how small. with $500 max buy in,i bought in for $400,the $10 and $20 preflop raises worry me. but if i have not got a monster i do not have a monster and we do not play. great game from all concerned and smart play. TI is an excellent room just slow on the drinks in my opinoin. i did have pocket Q's 1 hand and did raise preflop $20,everyone folded and i showed, told everyone i was "just protecting my hand". will be more prepared and ready to apply what i learned in september.
last morn played 2 hrs @ harrahs and lost $49. even split 2 pots, yes 2 pots with A's and identical kicker. i do NOT chase as i did have a flush draw after the flop but a player bet $20 and maybe for $5 i MIGHT? have chased 4th street but not @ $20. so will never know and i can live with that.
i go to las vegas to have fun and i do maybe by playing too tight but most of my decisions to fold are the correct decision and with very very little IRL,in real life, live experience i think it is the best way to play. sept trip looks like the TI for sure,1 session @ the V and maybe PH since i have never played there. i like the tourist rooms since i am one and the $2 @ TI is never beaten.
again thank you to AVP Michael,Yappy Dave and grrouchie. it was a great trip and of course thanks to Chris and all the great staff @ the TI. you have a great room!! everyone need to play there if for no other reason for the $2 comps.

I hope you enjoyed yourself, as I know we enjoyed you at the table. Best wishes!
You play wayyyyyy too tight.
No offense, but barring some serious suckouts, you usually shouldn't lose when you're playing 1/2 or 1/3 NL without some problems with your game.
Implied odds in NL are huge.
You definitely need to adjust to the betting stakes in live games, they're just bigger. Raises start bigger, and flop bets are bigger. People sometimes bet the pot only because the pot just happens to be the amount they felt like tossing in, sometimes they overbet it for the same reason. It is VERY rare anyone will ever only bet $5 post flop.
Just trying to help. Promise.
