Queens no good all weekend.

Can't complain about the trip since I cashed in on 2 of the 4 tournaments I played in (Sahara & Golden Nugget). As for the Caesar and Treasure Island Tourney, the pocket queens bounced my out of the Caesars tourney up against Pocket Jacks, and Pocket Queens crippled my stack up against King Jack. This will all pre-flop with everyone pushing. I guess, I was very happy seeing the cards pre-flop, but like I said it Queens killed me all weekend long. Played cash games at Treasure Island, hitting a straight flush on a hand and paid me 100 for the high hand of the day.

I was rolling some hot hands this weekend.

Golden Nugget (cash game). Flop Ace 10 6. I'm holding 6-9. The guy checks, and I check. The turn 6, he bets $20, i call. The river 6. QUAD 6's. He bets $20, i re-raise $20. He goes all-in for another $75. I told him, I don't have an ace. He flips over Ace-10. Now if he bet the flop, I'm out of the hand.

Sahara tourney, 2 guys in front of me going all-in and looking down at Ace-Ace, I told both of them I was behing but I wanted to give them action, LOL.

I ran into some rookies that skill comes into betting too. Made some good calls and bluffs and weekend long.

All and All cashed in a good paycheck this last weekend so i can't complain.

    The Sahara is a great tournament for the money. Glad you did well in it.

    Though I love the TI for cash games (congrats on the High Hand!), there tourmanents are not really good values, considering what can be found just down the street, with better structures and much bigger prize pools. TI's tournies are really just "fun" tournies.

    Sorry about your QQ beats. Nice report!

    I know there is alot of luck to poker, but there are alot of fools that don't know how to bet the game.

    Another hand, I have King, King and raise a good amount in this tournament. Now, I'm thinking to myself the whole time if a Ace flops, I'm out of the hand since I had about 6 callers come in. Well the flop comes Ace, Jack,10. I',m thinking "DAMM". With 6 people calling my raise, I'm thinking someone has to bet the ace. NOPE! Everyone checks all the way around, the turn QUEEN. Now I have the nut Straight. I bet out, guy re-raises me and I go all-in. He calls and I look over to see that he already flopped the nuts! WOW!!! Dummy tried to set a trap and back fired on him. I was a happy camper.

    Now that's where you need to know how to bet this game.
