So like the previous single guy, I decided there was nothing better to do over valentine's day than go to vegas and play poker! I had a great time and made some money and it was much better than staying home and watching all the couples get together.

I headed out on Monday morning catching the 7am flight from Chicago (I got up at 2:30am vegas time). Got in about 9am, and went straight to the Wynn to check in. They were able to get me a room right away (awesome!!!!) so I brought my stuff up and headed out to the pool to get some rays.

Went down to the poker room about 3pm and got seated at 4-8 right away. Played for about 6 hours and turned my $160 into over $400. I cannot say this enough...this room is the BEST. Very helpful staff, friendly dealers, comfortable, and Beal the billionaire playing against the pros in the corner! Dead tired at 9pm so went up to sleep.

Tuesday I headed over to Ballys for the 11am tourney. Also played on Thursday and each time was a waste of time. Don't recommend it. Quick blind levels and the dealers weren't even using the auto-shufflers so each round we got in about 5 hands! Painful. And cold.

Back to the Wynn to the juicy 4-8 game. Turned my $240 into $550 in about 10 hours and got free dinner at the table with my comps. I decided the next day to step up to 8-16. Played for 11 hours on Wednesday and lost about $350 but felt like I played well. Played some more on Thursday and Friday and made a couple hundred more playing 4-8 and 8-16. Almost missed my flight friday night but I had a great time. Earned another free dinner at the Wynn and they also comped me two buffets for me and my local friend who I hung out with while I was there.

I'm going back to the Wynn in May for my birthday! Bring it on!
