The Key to Las Vegas: Three Days
4/2-4/5
Had booked one night at the Imperial Palace. Got the $66 a night instead of the $50. Worth it. Clean and easy to get to. Say what you will about the IP, but the location is hard to beat.
Met a buddy at Caesars. Sat at a fairly "loose" Video Poker machine next to the Sports Book and painfully watched the Buckeyes loose to Florida AGAIN. rrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. Headed to Jet at the Mirage. Too long of a line. Called it a night.
Got an e-mail from Harrahs the week before I left with special rates at Caesars. $120 a night. Normally $180. (It pays to be on these e-mail lists) Tuesday -great room on the 36th Floor. Head down for the Noon Tournament. Beautiful room. 94 players. 40 minute blinds a pleasure. Win one hand in 1st two levels. 3rd level I go on a rush and become chip leader. Lose 2 races with short stacks and back to middle stack. Blind against blind, I hit middle pair on ragged board. Lead out and get reraised all in. Ask player if she really hit that and she says "call and find out". I CALL before she is even done speaking. She has OESD and hits. Adios.
Hit the $1-3 NL cash game that evening. Lots of pre-flop raising and trash talking. Ask to move to another table, when UTG raises to $12. 4 players call. I'm in the SB with 10-8s and given the odds CALL. Flop J-8-8. Check and another player bets $100. I'm ALL IN. He calls and says he can't beat an 8. Thank you. CASH OUT. Long ass line outside PURE nightclub. Head back to that "loose" video poker machine. Run this thing up to $400.CASH OUT. Slide the doorman $50 at PURE. What a zoo. Some hottie starts grinding on me and telling me she wants to take me home. Sadly she is too drunk and I don't feel like baby sitting. I walk back outside to the "loose" video poker machine again and hit 4 Aces for $200 more. CASH OUT. As I walk back into PURE, I see the hottie being half carried out by her girlfriend. Good Read G. Then a cute little "Pro" latches on and brags about her great BJ's. She says "Stay right there" and I'm out the door to Spearmint Rhino. Not much of a selection on a Tuesday night. A tall blond with skills finds me and we have $300 worth of fun. Always have fun at the Rhino. Back to Caesars, where I ask if I can get that rate for one more night. They tell me $300. My flight is at 8am the following day. I don't really need a room do I?
Wednesday check out and leave bags with bell desk. Hit the noon Tournament at the Rio. Made 2 final tables here last year. 40 players. Make it to final 16 players with a nice stack. Blinds 400-800. Find 2 red Aces in the SB. One limper, then a raiser to $2200. I move ALL IN. Then an older man in the BB (who didn't hear very well) says CALL and pushes out $2200. The dealer explains he just CALLED an AI and is AI. Raiser folds. Old timer turns over KJo and hits a back door str8. rrrrrrrr. Thatzpoker.
Later that evening I return to the "Golden Goose" video poker machine and hit a Royal Flush for $1000. YeeHaaahhh! Unbelievably I had only the KJ diamonds. Head on over to the Venetian. As others have stated, this is a fine poker room. $1-2 NL. I pick up some nice hands which hold up with chasers to the river every time. A player who has just lost some big pots raises to $40. I look down at 10-10. Re-raise another $40. He smooth calls. Flop is 9 high. Without hesistating I move ALL IN. He goes in the tank and says "he can beat the board". SHIT. Gotta be JJ. He folds JJ face up. I show the tens.CASH OUT. Spearmint Rhino round #2. Wednesday night has more going on. A tall blond Russian goddess. Hot bod but cold as ice. Next. Petite little Philipino with-the
right-temperature rocks me. I leave with my "Rhino smile". Another great Vegas trip. Just remember the "key" to Las Vegas is -THREE DAYS- ;)

you getting more than dances there because $300 on lap daces is expensive
Funny, because I was thinking the same thing about the "lap dances." Also, I'd like to find that poker machine at Caesars!
Yes Thatzpoker, exactly where is that Video Poker machine. I'll be there in 16 days and I would love to hit a good machine.
When I went to Spearmint Rhino for a buddy's bachelor party a couple years ago the going rate for lap dances there was $20 for one song at your table and $100 for 3 songs "behind the glass" as they put it.
They pushed HARD to try to get you to go for the $100 private dances.
One of my richer friends dropped way more than $300 trying to make sure the bachelor had a good time. Enough to land them in the VIP room, so it's easy to spend some dough there if you get a little crazy.
I liked that trip report a lot, especially info about Pure and SR. lol
interesting stuff...
