Three Days - Five Casinos
Had a great trip overall, and as with virtually all of fellow posters I came out ahead (does anyone lose in here?).
Wynn - They run $80 satellites where top two of ten witn entry into $330 deep stack/45 minute blinds tourney at noon. No luck.
Harrahs - $40 tourney. They have one re-buy but opted not to do it when my AK was busted out by A9 - salt rubbed in the wound when he made three of a kind on the turn.
Imperial Palace - I agree with others that it is a freindly room and probably has the friendliest players of any room you could play in. They have one rule that I have never seen before that cost my buddy $100.00. The table has a painted circle on it for placing bets beyond the line as other casinos do. However, when you go to place your bet you must bet all the chips that are in your hand at the point you cross the line. It is almost a reverse string bet. If you have a stack of reds and go to drop just one of them, but your hand crosses the line, all the chips in your hand must be played on that bet. I have yet to hear of this rule from any other casino and find it very odd and unfair. Watch any tournament on television and many of the pros bet by dropping chips from their hand and replacing the remaining chips back in their stack. I may have missed it, but I did not see a sign anywere stating this to be the rule. Will never play there again.
Paris - Nice $110 tourney the first night. No luck. Second night only five registered, so there was no tourney. Nice 1/2 $300 max NL game. Made $65 in seven hours (great hourly rate, right?).
Bellagio - As most people say, toughest competition by far. Felt lucky to lose only $30 in two hours. Had three locals at the table that knew each other and all the dealers.
Alladin - $100 tourney. No luck - forgot you can't bluff in these tourneys. 1/2 $200 NL game. Finally! Picked up a full house when guy across table had full house and guy next to him had Ace high flush. Made $650 on that hand. Very next had picked up King high flush and made $180. Ran to the airport after that happy to finally be up. Nice people, decent dealers, and hot/fresh cookies.
