Too excited to play in person
Did a tuesday thru thursday visit from the east coast and didn't quite get started. wasn't in town long and checked into the stratosphere $43/nt, when i went down the elevator right next to the small poker stall. it was like 8:01pm and a $50 buy-in had just started and i asked if there was room, and i was seated right away at a seat that already had a blind gone. i didn't know what the starting chip count was cause i had like $765 in chips...but i was in my first real hold'em tourney. 4 or 5 hands in i had a nut flush on the turn and couldn't believe my heart rate. i knew i couldn't be beat but i was almost shaking. what a rush!! i felt like carrot top but actually knocked out two players with an all in on the river. played ok until about 15 players left, when the excitment rush was taken over by jet lag and missed calls got me jiggy and i was knocked out with my ak all in by a ak8 flop to a set of 8's. to much fun for $50.
