Arrived in late on 12/18(Flew in from NY). I knew right off the bat I wouldn't play as much as I would like but when you bring the wife(no choice, she don't go, I don't go).

Landed grabbed a bite and intentionally started a small arguement/rationale as to why I should go play for an hour (LOL). It worked I headed down to the room at MGM. Played for three hours ended up $140 or so. Not a lot by any means but any of you married guys know that it's enough to make the wife happy the next AM.

Highlight of the session would probably be aggressive drunk player to my left raised to $45. Everyone folded but me and I would have to (69s) except his buddies had all stopped behind him standing (waiting to go clubbing I pretended not to hear) and I had heard him whisper last hand to them. So sensing the desparation in him, I reluctantly called. Dream flop of A 7 3 all spades. He raises $20, I smooth call. Turn comes red rag. I call his all-in raise of $30 something. He turns Ks2d and I dodge the river. Idiots, gotta love them. Would have won considerably more but had AA cracked twice in this session.

Wake up in AM and drive to Cannery, wife likes it here for some reason. I signed up for the 10AM $23 NL HE tourney. It's not for a bunch of cash but I enjoy the change of pace as it is always about 20 rock/locals who you can use some pretty crafty play on. I actually prefer this to the tourists occasionally because the "Clown-shoe" poker they employ can be very demoralizing (please see next tourney results/details). Anyway as I expected, I finished third and in the $ losing withh QQ to KQ, with a K falling on the turn.

SAW KA this night it sucked (for the $) and went to GN the next AM. Nice little poker room but MGM is a little nicer. Went to Red Rock during the day so didn't get to play till late night and saw that Binion's has a 2am tourney for $60 so I played some BJ/craps while waiting(+135). I assumed that there would be some pretty drunk kids/tourists here a was right for the most part. But here in lies the "Clown-shoe" poker I referred to earlier. I was doing very well early on and so was the afformentioned drunken tourist idiot(again to my left) he was bullying the rest of the table besides myself. So I get dealt 7-7 and just call expecting his raise. It came, we were heads up and flop comes J 7 5 rainbow. I bet about half my chips he thinks, he calls. Turn is a 10 of clubs(still no suits). I put him all in for the rest of his chips. Without thinking he calls and turns over KQo. I was stunned as were the other sober players at the table. Naturally the A falls on the river(runner-runner) and I'm severely short stacked at this point. Very next hand I'm dealt big slick. Don't love this hand but I do w/ short stack. Drunk the only caller w A-5 and flop commes 3-3-5 and I get no help. Bub-Bye. Go to bed and sleep it off.

Last session before the flight home at the GN. Boring, got two boats and trips once in fours hours with some bad beats mixed in to have a final number of about +13 for the session. I find that one of my weaknesses is falling in love with the smooth call. I got burned more than any other trip this time out by trying to get too cute. All in all good trip but man I wish I could get out there one time w/out the wife. Alas, I feel that will never happen thanks to the beloved "pornslappers." Hah, maybe she's right, that town could crumble a man w/ more conviction than myself. Good luck all.
