Vegas May 26 to June 2 2005
I spent most of the time at the excalibur where I played strickly 1-3 spread texas holdem. It was a nice set up with 3 tvs that were easily viewable from most seats. There was also a buffet that was fair, what can I say it was FREE. As for the drink service that was a whole different story. It seemed like the drink ladys would come around regularly, then you would wait litterlaly an hour to get a drink. I dont know why it was like that but it seemed to happen each of the 6 days I played. If you play in the morning watch out for the locals, they are all over the joint. Each morning there were at least 5 old timer locals playing at the table. The games there are very soft, and when you did get a new player, they would more offen than not have to dig into their wallet to reload after being cleaned out. The Aladdin was nice for no limit. There min buy in was 50 with a max of 200. It was nice because they did not take a rake unless there were 6 players playing. If you play the game with the min buy in like I did just to get a feel for it, watch out, they try to bully you around. I played all of 2 hours and the players were very aggressive, especially the ones who bought in for $200. The cards they used were terrible, they would bend really easy. In fact they had to get 2 new decks of cards in the 2 hours i played. As for the Bellagio, I did see Johnny Chan there 2 times. Other than that, I did not spot any other professionals. Overall excellent trip, look forward to the next trip, enjoy and good luck
