Played 2-4 limit at first. Notwithstanding what is listed on main site, did not find any 4-8 limit played. Played some 3-6 limit after that and on final day played a 24 player tournament and took 2nd. Did not make a deal, but deals are allowed. Top 3 paid in the money. Tournament was well run, only drawback was that there was no screen with player standings and updates. Manager was very friendly and helpful and remembered your name whenever you entered. I liked the mix of players. No one type of player dominated. Some tourists, some local retirees, some ball caps kids. Tables were very friendly. Right now main casino is undergoing some renovation, but it did not affect the poker room. Poker room decorated with art and wood panelling. An inviting and intimate place to play. Dealers were basically friendly and good. Only saw one glaring mistake and that was an improper placement of button, so blinds were messed up for one hand. All in all a very good place to play and i agree with much of what has already been written.

  1. What is the current parking situation at the Monte Carlo. I thought I read recently that due to ongoing construction they don't have any parking and you need to park somewhere else, like at NYNY. Is that the case, or can you park at the Monte Carlo. Thanks.

  2. just use valet parking, makes it easier.

  3. They do have an uncovered parking lot in the back of the hotel. The bad thing is it is uncovered but the good thing is it is real close to the poker room. You walk across the one road, into the casino, and the poker room is right there on your right.

  4. I flew, so dont know too much about the parking. Girlfiend met me there and parked in valet and she did not have any problems.
