Wynn
I went there a couple of times in early June during my annual visit.
To start with, the second day I was in town, I chopped the tourney at the MGM. I split with a young Brit who was elated with his win, and my bonus was seeing an oldfriend/workmate/railbird, who I hadn't seen in years. OK ... now I have $1500 in the pocket , and auld lang syne! Let the good times roll ... yes I was staying at the Orleans.
As to the Wynn. The parking garage is very convenient to the poker room, and they have a unique feature in that there are signs showing how many spaces are available at each level! So ride to the open level, park three steps from the elevator, and ride down!
At Wynn, I played 4/8 and 8/16 waiting for the 15/30 game. 4/8 is played with blue/$1 chips and 8/16 is blayed with brown/$2 chips. This stimulates action and everyone has a mountain of chips! And lots of action!
Now here is what really impressed me!
When I came in a floor person signed me up for a "Wynn Card," much like any other slot card, and told me to swipe the card out when I left and they would pay me $1/hour in comps. OK... just like I get at Foxwoods.
When I left, I was told that I had never been "swiped in" and would lose my $3 in comps!
I saw the girl who signed me in, she profusely apologized, and gave me a $20 MEAL COMP!!!
A totally unneccesary gesture, but I have now been won over by Wynn - over my previous favorite rooms at Mirage and Bellagio.
The games are great (for my level), the room is very nice, the dealers professional ... I'll be back!
