Had a friend that qualified for the main event, so me and a few others flew out to watch him and play some poker of our own. We got there July 6th late at night and hit the Mirage since it was close and we were itching to play. We both bought in for $100 at a 3-6 game and the first dealer was horrible actually saying that nobody tipped her when she left the table, great story my friend and i sat at the same table and we weren't catching anything so when i caught A 9 off i liked it, i liked it more when the flop came AA9 and my friend bet, i raised and he was the only caller, Q on the turn he checks and then raises me, i call then he kicks in his last few dollars on the blank river i call he has AK, great story for the whole trip, wish it was someone else instead my friend though.

After watching my friend play in the world series main event on day 1 and getting knocked out when his KK was topped by AA we went and saw the town.

Next day we go to Plaza for a tourney but it was cancelled, so we hit up Binions, got there just in time to join there $110 tourney, couldnt get cards until i get QQ and bet a guy goes all in i call he has JJ and rivers a J to knock me out, still burns!

Next day we go to the Sahara b/c i heard that there was a great tourney there, and there was! we got there late for the 7pm one all except my friend who got in late and he finished top 5 and chopped and got 1300. the rest of us played in the 11pm tourney i got about 18th or so when me 99 was bested by 2 people holding QJ off suit, they caught the J on the turn, oh well it happens. great tourney everyone wanting to play in a tourney should check out this one great structure probably best cheap tourney in town, will be back in that one!

We left a couple of days later and lost the cash i took but had a great time, i would recommend checking out the Sahara tourney and MGM for a cash game nicest in town all though i didnt play there i did check it out. thanks to all the reported on hear and good luck to all!
