Encore Boston used to have the premier poker room in New England. My friends and family members across the U.S. would frequently come visit me in Boston and we'd often go play poker there for days and dine and drink. Unfortunately, this will no longer hold true anymore.
A 10% rake up to $10 per pot is flat-out thievery and I can't believe that the Mass Gaming Comm. approved this outrageous rake rate and the limited days/hours opened. You keep rambling about monitoring the situation. The waiting lists for every game are up to 50+ people deep on a weekday day! I've heard every excuse which you've given for re-opening the poker room in its current sad state. By the way, where's our "bad beat jackpot" and "high hand" money which we've all contributed towards? Oh, that's right, come on down during the poker room's operating hours when most people are at work so we can sit around for hours waiting for an available seat.
It's unfortunate that your organization ONLY values profits and, frankly, it's an insult and slap on the face to the existing, wonderful New England poker community. This Bostonian and many others will never be back until you do us right.
