Iowa and poker don't seem to go together but being out on the circuit you pretty much play everywhere the road takes you. But I was actually glad I got to come here. It's a pretty decent place to play!
The room itself is a little bland and the chairs aren't anything to write home about but honestly that's the only major complaint I have.
It's a really nice staff of Midwesterners who understand hospitality. Sometimes outsiders don't get treated very well but this wasn't the case. They really rolled out the red carpet and took great care of me and my friends. Service was great and the dealers were surprisingly good. I'd heard complaints about dealing in the area but not here. They weren't perfect but there weren't any major disputes or issues.
They don't spread a ton of games but the action is great. There are a lot great players here with not a lot of egos. It's one of the friendliest games I've ever played and I really appreciated that. Nice to have the pressure off a little bit with some good people.
Tourney schedule is a little light but they get a solid turnout for what they do run. Staff once again does a nice job running the tourneys and stays on top of everything.
I had a very pleasant experience here. It's not Vegas or AC but honestly I'm glad it's not. Having fun playing poker is nice! Thanks to everyone there for a great time.
