This website advertises in magazines available in the waiting room at some casinos. My question is how valuable do members find the service?

I'm curious because for free you have access to some features. They evaluate your play compared to average users. My "score" comes in all over the map, even though I tend to play about the same. One thing that makes me wonder is that my tutorial playing every hand A-K scored better than 99% of others. Really? My approach was very simple, almost always folding if the hand didn't improve post-flop.

The other thing I've noticed on the free site is that I run into monster hands all the time. They seem to occur much more often than in live play. Is it really random?

I'd like to improve my skills and wonder if this is best place to deploy my time. Also considering books or just a lot of low-stakes tournament play.

Thanks!

  1. For books I like the Harrington books on Cash Games and the one on Tournaments. They are a great combination of theory and practice. Practice clearly helps, but you need some framework for critiquing your play.

  2. I really appreciate the kind of topics post here. Thanks for sharing us a great information that is actually helpful. Good day!
