It is easy to laugh at idiotic beginners questions.

Comments

  1. That you could put your wedding ring on the table and say all in mofo!

  2. That anyone ever, in any serious poker context whatsoever, would string-bet. It annoys me to no end that virtually every movie or tv-show with a poker scene involves: "I see your $100.......................AND RAISE YOU $200!!". Bah.

  3. @DanMcArdle thats my only strategy

  4. Good question! I had a few.....

    1) that people were as good as they said they were
    2) that dealers were experts at playing poker
    3) that if I was all in for $20 but an opponent had $100, I could still win his $100
    4) that after my first ever session, where I won, that I was a natural and could never lose
    5) that any 2 cards had the same odds of winning, because no hands are made until the flop hits

  5. I always thought that 5 card draw and 5 card stud were real, but have never seen them ever played in a real casino.
