WSOP $10,000,000 to winner?

I just saw on @PokerAtlas twitter that the WSOP main event might guarantee $10 million to the winner. Is this true?? Oh my god that would be awesome!

    I'm hoping that they run a bunch of online satellites, so I can have a shot. What I would do with TEN MILLION BUCKS.......

    Well, if they were doing proper promotions on WSOP.com and already running satellites they wouldn't have to worry about a guaranteed 10 mil 1st place. It would 11 or 12 easy. But honestly, I don't know if it's a good move or not. It's the greatest prize in poker with the top prize in the game outside of the One Drop. What pros aren't playing the Main Event? This isn't a Hard Rock tourney - it's the WSOP. I think this backfires.

    Yeah, they're gonna need a lot of satellites to not take a dent out of the prize pool.
