June 2.

I wake up a 5 am on about 3 hours of sleep. It is going to be a long day I think. After cleaning up i get dropped off at the the VRE train. A short wait and the train arrives and my voyage begins. I jump off the VRE in Springfield and arrive at Reagan National a little too early. I should have slept longer and took a later train. At check in on a whim I take the upgrade to business class since my checked bag would be free. Win. Never rode first class or business class and I totally liked it. Plane to atlanta was fine and so was the plane to vegas. I however could not sleep. This was not a quiet plan by any means.

I arrive in Vegas around 3 pm and the airport seems dead. Am I early? I take the shuttle to the IP b/c I am a cheap bastard. Check in was a breeze. Zero wait. After arriving at room I take a look at it and see no problems. By the time I get downstairs the check in line is swamped. Good timing i guess. I gaze at the IP poker room and there are zero tables. Zero.

I head next door to Harrahs to take a look there and they have a couple of 1/2 games going but I decided to pass. I had the thoughts of getting the mlife card in my brain. I head to the Mirage and grab my pretty new mlife card. I put my name on the list for 1/2. I was the only one. I sit down at a table and at first glance I think it might be the worst table in the world.
I am the only person with any alchohol? WTF? I quickly get down 150 or so when noone buys any of my bluffs. The scotches keep coming and I get some others to start drinking with my vibe. I battle back flopping several flushes and finish the session at plus 190.

Starving I head to Oshea's and grab a couple double stackers. Yum. I have thoughts of Venetion on my mind since i have never played there. On the way I swing into harrah's and sit at a 3 card poker game, only b/c there was a busty female there. Turns out she was married and had a husband nearby. The dealer could have doubled for the cooler and I slowly turn 200 into 30. I end up catching a straight at the end and turn my money back into 150. Still it is -EV and I pocket my chips and bail after tipping.

I head off to venetiand the strip is packed. It is around 8pm and I go get a grazie card since I have never had one. I find my wait to the poker room and Instantly get a seat. I sit down to a table of water drinkers and immediately think about a table change. 2 guys with hoodies and glasses and a couple of Euro's who silently talked to themselves. I had good position though. I only buy in for 500 but most of the guys with money are at the far end. I play a hands in position and quickly am down 150 when noone buys my bluffs. I also was 3 bet a couple of times. I battle back with a few good hands in position. I had ak in position on a k high flop and got back to slightly ahead. One of the gentlement at the end of the table gets his first drink and that proved to be my advantage. I pick up qq in the small blind and reraise a 15 bet to 40. One caller, pot size of around 150 at this point. He leads out a bet of 100 I think ( details are fuzzy) on a 9 high flop. He only raised to 15 and just called my reraise so I doubt he has kk or aa. I shove my stack of 440 at this time and am called by jj. I dodge a jack and my stack is around 1150.

I cash out at 1103 and give the 3 bucks to the cage. I head back to the IP with visions of hookers and blow but get side tracked at the tattoo shop window. Vince neil is inside with two blondes and they are flashing their fake tits at the crowd. I ponder why people bring their kids to Vegas. I grab another scotch and head up to my room to put some of my cash away with the design of coming back down for more pokerz. Not to be. I hit he bed and it feels great and I know I am going nowhere. Its only 1 am and I miss some prime poker hours but oh well.
