Was on a 5 day trip to New York city with about 20 friends to play in a rugby tournment and generally get smashed. Well we managed to come runners up in the tournment and with 3 days of heavy drinking and no luck finding any games in new york(i know its illegal but i tried anyway) i decided to give my liver a night off and got the bus to atlantic city.

Got the bus from the port authrority in new york and off we (me and my friend dave) went paying $32 for roughly the 2 1/2 hour round trip. For anyone taking this trip beware because the buses go every hour from new york but drop you off outside different casinos a deal i presume the bus company have with the different casino's so it maybe worth a little research into which casino you want to stay in then getting the right bus otherwise you may end up paying for a cab accross town to the casino you do want to stay in.
Our bus was heading to bally's which i presumed would be pretty cheap so i didnt have a problem, we turned up at ballys and got a room for $120 which was $60 each which i didnt mind we also was told that with our bus tickets we got $20 free slots play when we cashed it in at the cage we were given $20 cash which was sweet as i never play slots and in turn it made our bus trip a massive $12 dollars return.

Now on the poker
First night dave wanted to head over to the Taj as all of us poker nutters have seen the film.
We are quickly seated at 2 separate $1-2 tables and i buy in for $140 with table max being $300 i like to do this as it gives me a few raises and if i miss i can get away from being pot committed.
Table is full and from what im told from other players running a few hours looking around though there is only one big stack which belongs to a big lady which has roughly $900 and everyone else has from $25 yes it aint a mis type to around $200 nothing great happens for the first couple of hours. First big hand for me there have been around 7 limpers for $2 so i make $15 from the button with a q off leaving me roughly 120 behind and the only caller i get is the big stacked lady in the small blind Flop 10/j/3 two hearts she checkes i bet $20 she calls Turn king of diamonds bingo she now bets $40 and i move in which she calls River King of spades she waits for me to turn over my straight before turning king ten off for a rivered full house felted to a four outer. Pull up another $100. Get dealt kings straight after i raise to £12 get called by the same lady and the flop brings an ace she bets some dumb amount like $4 and i fold them face up to which she laugh's and shows an ace GREAT. About half hour later i raise with q j suited in spades on the button to $12 i have roughly $100 with 6 limpers behind me and get one caller Flop 9/jack/queen player bets $10 which i make $25 and he calls Turn 3 he checks and i move in which he calls and tables king ten for the straight Rivers bricks and im felted again. So pulled up another $100. We play for about another hour which sees me move up to around $200 then down to around $125 are table then breaks as we are five handed. Im now in for $360. On new table first three hands have pots of at least $400 which is well loose compared to thet last one where you needed two very strong hands for all the money to go in.

Let the come back Begin
After about 10 hands im dealt two black queens on the button with 6 callers i make it $15 (me roughly $120) to play which i get two callers Flop 10/jack/3 both players check to me i bet $25 and get one caller who's sitting next to me Turn 5 and player checks so i bet $40 to which he calls River king and im starting to get bad feeling about the old king ten again this time player doesnt check but cuts off a stack of chips measures them against mine and slides them in at this point i want to cry but i dont have enough left to fold against the pot odds i call and he tables 9-9 for pocket nines so ive doubled up to roughly $250. I then wake up with ace-jack of spades on the button and make it $15 to play and get 5 callers Flop 2/3/4 spades bingo only have to worry about a house or the 5/6 of spades it gets checked round to me i bet $40 and get i caller same guy as the queens hand Turn Jack not a spade guy checks and i bet $60 and he calls river 6 diamonds and he moves all in straight away i shout call smash over my ace jack for the flush and he shows pocket 5's with the 5 of spades and i take the pot cashed out a little after that for $471
For a profit of $141

So a good night the staff were very good and so were the dealers except for there lack of english but the waitress service was terrible think we got offered drinks about 4 times in 6 hours.

Day after went to caesars palace which was pretty cool casino but nothing much happened so i wont bor people i just managed to lose $180
