We arrived Monday afternoon, staying at the Stratosphere (definately the best value room in Vegas). We payed 35 a night, split that 3 ways..good times. First night we arrive and take the monorail from Sahara down to MGM to check out the new room there. Not too busy, decided to play the 2/4 game to get into live game mode. We ended up playing only 2 hours, I made about 20 bucks, Joe made about the same. Nice room overall, liked the high tech stuff, seemed to be run pretty well overall.

We woke up tues ready to play some 4/8, and headed down to Bellagio. The new room, though a bit cramped, is great. very ellegant as well as the great management and dealers that have come to be known of Bellagio. Sat down at my first table and played for about 4-5 hours. About an hour in I pick up KK in the big blind, and it ends up being 3 bets to me. I raise, and to keep it short, the pot ends up 5 handed,5 bets each. Great spot to be in with KK needless to say. Flop comes uncoordinated unders, and I jam the pot. Ends up 3 handed, 4 bets each way with a stray bet or 2 from folders. At this point I'm thinking I'm going to run into pocket aces, especially since an A didn't hit on the flop. Turn comes no help, bet out, raised, 3rd player folds, I call. river is another blank, so i check planning to just call (fearing I'm behind to a set or aces). He bets, I call. he flips over unimproved JJ. At this point, i toke the dealer, and go take a walk. Its not often that you take down a 200-some dollar pot in 4/8. A bit later I lose a pretty good pot to a set, hit quad jacks and get no action, end up cashing out 200 up. Joe cashes about the same. So far so good. We go hit up Margaritaville, good times.

Later that night, we go check out the new room at Wynn. I figured it would be hard to outclass Bellagio, but they certainly did it. The management was very impressive, as well as the dealers and cocktail waitresses. They really must have hired professional models to give out cocktails. Anyway, I miss some flush draws in big pots, get kings cracked twice by randomness (no ace involved), lose back my 200 from the day before. Joe ends up winning a little.

Being very impressed with Wynn, we head back wed night to play some more. I ran into a table with a couple weak, loose players. They rebuy a couple times and provide the table with some free money. I cash 6 hrs later up about 190 after winning a couple good pots and some smaller ones here and there. Joe is down 150 when i leave to sleep at about 4am. He says he's gonna cab it back. I wake up at 1pm the next morning when joe makes his way into the room, up 50 from his initial buy in. Nice grind. He sleeps while the gf and I go hit up the Rio buffet. Later in the night, we go back to wynn once again. He ends up down about 50 and i'm up 50.

Next day is Apartment/go home day. We find a place in Henderson while Joe grinds out 100 more at wynn. Overall, great trip. Once again, didn't find the players at Wynn and Bellagio to be TOO difficult, though i did get lucky in that one big pot at Bellagio. Both were defiantely beatable by 2+2 standards. We'll be living there in a month, working, and playing poker.
