Trip lasted from Friday (5/15) to Monday (5/18). Mostly filled with poker and a small amount of sleep. I'll summarize the sleep first, and then detail the poker sessions.

Night 1: no sleep. With no room booked, we played through the night at the M, and crashed for an hour in our car until we could check-in at Terribles.

Night 2: Sat. night, no bargain rooms on the strip. We secured a room at Terribles, which was sufficient. Slept about 5 hours (5AM to 10AM) and checked out.

Night 3: Buddy had a comp. room at Southpoint. Checked in to a very nice room (would not be embarrassed to stay here with the wife). Excellent gumbo and crab legs for dinner at the oyster bar. Poker room was looking weak - so we did our playing elsewhere (the M is much nicer).

Poker:

Session 1 (Ballys 3-6 LHE): walked here for some 'warm-up' poker shortly after arriving to strip. Dinked around for an hour and left with small profit. Nice folks - but, there are just much better atmospheres to play. The waitresses were ancient.

Session 2 (The M 4-8 1/2kill LHE): lived up to the reviews - this is a well thought-out place. I like the 4/8 +1/2kill game and settled into an all night session. I pretty much milked my stack up and down all night. With a few extra solid locals at the table, it is probably not the room to cash in huge profits. This was magnified because we closed it out, and only die-hards stay at a table until 6AM.

Session 3 (MGM 2-4 LHE): Trying to find some action early morning - there wasn't much going on. I have played here during prime-time hours and enjoyed myself. This was a dead shorthanded 2-4 game that was not too fun. Result was about a $60 loss and confirmation that I am done with 2/4.

Session 4 (Mandalay Bay 3-6 LHE): Room was fairly packed. This was during the Preakness race. Again, with these lower limits, the table was unpredictable. Although, it was entertaining, to see some of the wild play. I could not take advantage and dropped 1/2 a rack in a few hours. Not the worst room. But, I felt service and atmosphere a notch below the others.

Session 5 (Venetian 4-8 LHE): 2nd time here. But, for my taste, I rate it below Bellagio and Wynn. Competition was fun, and I did have a winning session. But, I was put off a bit by the chair comfort, service, and overall the place was a bit run down (for the Venetian). An aggressive guy with his girlfriend tried to bully the table - I profited from them with some trap plays.

Session 6 (Wynn 4-8 LHE): Arrived here late at night (/morning) and they had 1 short table going. First time here, I did like the look-and-feel of the room. My buddy couldn't get comfortable and tapped-out. I stayed for another 2 hours and tripled up. Seemed like one of those rooms where you need to be careful - focus on your play. Service was fine for that time of day.

Session 7 (The M 4-8 LHE): Another session very similar to session 2. Again, very nice place to enjoy an extended session. Built up enough comps to buy decent meal from deli next door. Watched NBA during play (nice sportsbook next to room). Buddy hit straight flush A-5 (steel wheel) for a $200 bonus.

Session 8 (Bellagio 4-8 LHE): I love the ambiance here and with the sportsbook. Took 45 min. to get on a table. One complaint is the cramped quarters (they have 2 many tables for the space). Good action at this room. I notice a higher % of foreign money coming to the table (good thing, me thinks). Ran into the same 'couple' we saw at the Venetian - they were borderline colusionists (raise, reraise shit). But, patience payed off and I took another couple of racks from these guys and others.

Session 9 (M 4-8): One more time to milk my profits and wait till airport time. Try the ommegag beer - good stuff. Buddy busted out - i loaned him a desperation $60 and he built a $350 stack in 1.5 hours -- quite amazing run. Again, cashed out with a slight profit.

Side notes:

Also played some craps, blackjack, and a sportsbook bet -- had one winning craps session and lost all the others -- $400.

Played one tourney: Sahara 11AM ($45+$20 rebuy) - lasted till second break. Busted 2 pair by a higher 2 pair.

Poker numbers: profit of ~$600

Trip: profit ~$200
