I will not bore you with the details of my flight, cab ride, hotel, drunken hooker stories or the like.
I love to play Omaha. I finally decided to give the Omaha H/L 5/10 limit full kill game a try at the Mirage. Headed over to the Mirage about 1 PM after getting busted out of the 11 am daily at Harrah's. 6 Players on the list for the omaha game when I got there. Desk says now that they have got 8 players(me and my friend make 8) they would start the game. Well, turns out there are only 6 to start, so we play short handed. I don't remember too many of my own hands so I will summarize the play of some of the players at the table. Guy #1 is clearly a holdem player. He continues to bet his top pair on the flop, even calling raises with cheese only to suckout several times. More than once he misread his hand and bet on the flop or river thinking he had either a straght or a full house only to hit something on the end. He turned his buyin from $200 to $600 in 2 hours only to give every last dime back to the table.
Next up was a woman who was easily at least 85 years old. She hit runner, runner quad tens after calling the flop bet hoping to hit a boat on a K66 flop, the guy who flopped Kings full was none to happy. This was a kill pot so the limits were 10/20.This game had a full kill and at one point we had 9 kill pots in a row. I believe 90% of the hands had at least 7 people out of ten(game went from shorthanded to full in an hour) seeing a flop. After a few players busted out we get 3 new guys who were in town for the derby and had done well. They were total maniacs capping preflop with nothing only to hit hand after hand. I did manage to win a couple of those because of there eagarness to build these big pots. Still lost money due to some terrible suckouts by some really poor gambling players.

I played the next day and the game was completely different. Mostly rock type players who said nothing and only played the best cards. They were very good and tough to beat.

I did enjoy my time in the Mirage poker room. Staff was very friendly and helpful. I will be back next trip.
