The Bellagio was packed because of the Doyle Brunson tournament. The action was terrible at 2-5 as well. People were limping and set-mining with QQ and check calling a J88 flop and check folding a low card turn. This type of play was typical for the 2-5 tables I was at during my time at the Bellagio. Therefore, I decided to play elsewhere.

I played mostly at the MGM. They only had 1 or 2 2-5 games going but the action was usually good. There were a few good players, but the game was very profitable overall. It was easy to get a seat and the staff was nice, EXCEPT FOR THE WAITRESSES. The waitresses tilted me more than the bad beats. Service was horrible, but the poker was too good.

The Monte Carlo is a very small 1-2NL, and 2-4 limit room. It was mostly regulars and it smelled funny. I'll never go back there again.

I went to the Venetian one night as well to play 2-5. I sat a 2 tables during my time there. The first table was the table from hell; nobody was talking and the action was terrible. A bunch of limpers and defenders. For example, seat 3 limps JJ in MP and checks it down for $20. Then 1010, checks it down for $20. What a boring game.

So I switched tables. The game was much better, but the players were very good. If you're seeking profit or fun, the venetian is NOT the place to go, unless you get a tip from a friend that somebody is throwing money around.

All around a frustrating, yet surprisingly profitable trip.
