Drove in to Green Valley Ranch for 2 nights starting on Good Friday and arrived around 12:00 PM. Started playing at 1:30 and played non-stop 2-4 limit and was up around $150. I played pretty tight and played until 9:30 AM the next morning, a marathon session. I only get to play poker like once a month, so I make it count when I do go and play.

The next afternoon I started playing 4-8 limit with a half kill and 1-2 no limit. The sharks ate me up alive and I lost $200 on no limit when my queen high flush got cracked by an ace high flush. At the 4-8 table I lost $100 on one hand when my pocket aces got cracked with a guy holding jack-three offsuit. While I was there, the in-house bad beat jackpot got hit and I received $69. I only started playing poker about 8 months ago, so I'm still learning the hard way (like a $470 donation to the sharks) of when to lay down hands.

Overall though, I still like playing poker more than any other casino game.
