November 30th - December 5th

Monday

Flew out of Chicago Midway with the wife Monday morning at 7am. Our plan was to play lots of poker and see a show or 2. We checked in at Bally's and had the deal of a century. $50 total for 5 nights, as we like to say in my neck of the woods “Its like a sore dick, you cant beat it” After checking in we went down to the Venetian for some 4-8 hold-em. Had a good session and ended up $250 after 5 hours. For dinner we were going to try the new Mexican restaurant Diablo. We get seated and look at the menu and cant believe that they charge for chips and salsa!!! WTF, so we decided to go to our regular stomping grounds “Gonzalez e Gonzalez at New York New York. Enjoyed an excellent meal as usually and called it a night.

Tuesday
Started off at Bally's playing the aces cracked promo, unfortunately did not get any aces and ended up losing $90 playing 3/6. Headed back over the the Venetian where continued my streak and lost another $100. For dinner we ate at the Steak House inside Paris. This was by far the best meal of the trip. I had the filet mignon and the wife has the prime rib.

Wednesday
Played an afternoon 4/8 session at Bellagio. Was fortunate enough to see my boy Scotty Nguyen NUT NUT BAAAAAABY and catch a picture with him. The session was uneventful and ended up down $28. Later that night we saw the Chris Angel show at the Luxor. Tried the $10 trick and was seated 2nd row. I was very skeptical of the show as I am a fan of the TV show Mindfreak. Each person I talked to said the show was terrible. His show was incredible, better than David Copperfield IMO. The illusion was great. In fact the first illusion he was on stage and then in a moments notice was standing in the isle right next to me. Both the wife and I were amazed.

Thursday
Back to the Venetian for some 4/8. This time there was a waiting list and I ended up waiting 45 minutes for the table to open. The game was good with a few locals. Ended up eating at the Grand Lux. Dinned on flauntas and the chicken parm. The meal was good and the portions were even larger.

Friday
Headed back over the Bellagio and had a very bad session. Ended up dropping 3 large playing 4/8. Could not get anything going and when I did, my hands did not hold up. Thats poker. For dinner ended up at Toby Keith's bar and grill as this is one of my wifes favorite place to eat. Horrible service as always, wonder why we continue to go back. The staf is nothing special to look.

Overall Impressions
Bellagio

The most action I found on the the trip. It was nothing to see 3 bets preflop.

The players were very very crabbie, lots of pissed off people playing 4/8

Venetian
Figi and cans of Red Bull, what more do you need?

Chris Angel
Would strongly recommend

Next trip planned from Feb 28th to March 5th, cant wait..

Ok, I am assuming you mean $300 not 3 large as in $3k.
